Kylian Mbappe marked his Paris Saint-Germain debut with a goal and assist to help his new club run out 5-1 winners away to 10-man Metz on Friday.

Edinson Cavani scored twice while Neymar and Lucas Moura also added goals as PSG remained perfect through five games.

Neymar played in Cavani to give PSG the lead after the half-hour, but the hosts were able to equalise through Emmanuel Riviere six minutes later and very nearly took the lead early in the second half.

But Benoit Assou-Ekotto was sent off for a late challenge on Mbappe in the 56th minute and the floodgates opened. Mbappe delivered a long-range strike just three minutes later, and Neymar did the same in the 69th minute.

Mbappe then knocked the ball down for Cavani to tap in a fourth in the 75th minute, and Lucas bundled a fifth over the line late on.

Despite playing with 10 men for nearly an hour, Lille managed to draw 0-0 with Bordeaux with few chances for both teams.

Lille got off a strong start and dominated until Thiago Maia, who had already been booked, was sent off after a reckless challenge on Malcom after 32 minutes, hitting the Bordeaux striker in the head with his leg.

Former Lille player Younousse Sankhare had the match’s best chance with 20 minutes left when he played a one-two with Cafu that unsettled the hosts’ defense but the midfielder missed his effort from close range.

Unbeaten in their last 12 league matches, Bordeaux moved to third place
